Day 1 - Airport – Negombo (Approx. 12 kms / 30 min) [B]

Spend a relaxing afternoon on the beach.

Overnight stay at Suriya Arana Guest House in Negombo
NEGOMBO town is a historically interesting place strongly influenced by the Catholic Church. The narrow strip of land between the lagoon & the sea and the many canals make for a good exploring.
The Dutch captured the town from the Portuguese in 1640, lost it again in the same year, and then captured it again in 1644. The British then took it from them in 1796 without a struggle. Negombo was one of the most important sources of cinnamon during the Dutch era, and there are still reminders of the European days.
Day 2 - Negombo – Anuradhapura - Wilpattu (Approx. 202 kms / 4 Hours) [B]

Founded in the 377 BC, ANURADHAPURA is renowned as one of the oldest inhabited cities in the world. Today, with large number of ancient monuments and several UNESCO World Heritage Sites, is one of the best places to discover the great Sinhala civilization that flourished in this region. This truly archeological city was the first established kingdom in ancient Sri Lanka, and several kings left a legacy of architectural and engineering marvels.
In Anuradhapura, you can see some of the most famous as well as the tallest Dagoba in Sri Lanka known as “Ruwanweli Maha saya”. The remains of historical palaces, temples, monasteries, ceremonial baths and the temple of the holy Bo-tree (Sri Maha Bodhi) in also in this historically significant city. The Sri Maha Bodhi Bo tree was grown from a branch of the tree under which "The Buddha" attained enlightenment while he was meditating, more than 2500 year ago.
Day 3 - Wilpattu [B]

Go for a Full Day Safari in Wilpattu National Park with a packed lunch.

Enjoy the lunch inside the Park.

Back at the campsite in the evening.

Overnight stay at Big Game Campsite in Wipattu
Covering an area of over 130,000 hectares, WILPATTU NATIONAL PARK is the largest national park in Sri Lanka. The park has got its name from the tens of floodplain lakes, called 'villus' in Sinhala, and has an astonishing diversity of flora and fauna. It is home to over 30 mammal species, including leopard, sloth bear, Sri Lankan elephant and spotted deer. Also, various wetland bird species such as the pin tail, whistling teal spoonbill, and white ibis can be found in the serene landscapes Wilpattu.
Day 4 - Wilpattu - Departure [B]
